For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received a spirit of adoption. When we cry, "Abba! Father!"

Jesus answered them, "Very truly, I tell you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.

Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the sabbath day.

Deuteronomy 5:15

For in the one Spirit we were all baptized into one body-Jews or Greeks, slaves or free-and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:13

For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.
We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be destroyed, and we might no longer be enslaved to sin.

There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.
And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 3:28-29

So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

The hand of the diligent will rule, while the lazy will be put to forced labor.

As servants of God, live as free people, yet do not use your freedom as a pretext for evil.

The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.

But now that you have been freed from sin and enslaved to God, the advantage you get is sanctification. The end is eternal life.
